Japanese Government Scholarship | Fully Funded

Foreign students studying in higher education institutions who are chosen (MEXT Scholarship) on the advice of the Japanese Embassy/Consulate General, University, or Authority are supported by Japanese government scholarships MEXT scholarship.

A fully financed scholarship, the MEXT Scholarship 2023-24, is available to foreign students studying in Japan. International students can apply for fully financed scholarships in Japan. Some other foreign scholarships which are fully funded are also available in Russia. Some more in Canada, and USA etc.

Foreign students who wish to enroll in Japanese higher education institutions are supported by the MEXT Scholarship program of the Japanese government. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology offers the MEXT Scholarships.

The “Japan Study Program” was organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) from March 8 to March 18 in order to assist foreign students in correctly understanding the current state of Japan through various activities throughout the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Tohoku region.

For extremely talented applicants who have been approved to study at GRIPS, full scholarships are offered. International students may apply for Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships if they are interested in the Young Leaders Program at GRIPS.

Only a small number of scholarships are offered, and they are distributed on a competitive basis. Candidates must be international students who have received a recommendation from a university, government agency, or the general consulate of Japan. The MEXT grant 2023–2024 is a fully funded opportunity for students from overseas. Training programs, graduate, undergraduate, and doctorate degrees are all eligible for this scholarship.

The MEXT scholarship will cover your living expenses each month, housing costs, tuition, and round-trip airfare from your country to Japan.

Foreign students wishing to study undergraduate or graduate-level research degrees at Japanese institutions can apply for financial aid through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan through the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships Program.

Usually, applications for the MEXT Japanese Government Scholarship are opened in April. Proficiency in Japanese language and the IELTS/TOEFL are not requirements for this fellowship. The Mext embassy has suggested this scholarship.

Mext Scholarship Undergraduate:

For undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degree programs, the MEXT Japanese Government Scholarships 2022 are available.

Students may apply to a variety of areas, but those pursuing research are only permitted to do so in the traditional entertainment arts, welfare sciences, medical, or dental fields.

All interested candidates must submit their applications through the Japanese Government Embassies and Consulates and must be citizens of a nation with which Japan maintains diplomatic ties. All students will promote friendly relations between Japan and their home countries.

IELTS or TOEFL are not necessary in order to apply for the MEXT Scholarship 2023. The following scholarships are available in 2023: MEXT Undergraduate Scholarship, MEXT Research Scholarship (master’s and PhD), MEXT College of Technology Scholarship, MEXT Specialized Training Scholarship, MEXT Japan Scholarship 4-5 years for undergraduate studies.

MEXT’s Undergraduate Scholarship in Japan 2023’s advantages include:

• Doctoral students will receive a stipend of up to 145,000 yen each month.

MEXT Scholarship eligibility requirements for Japan 2023:

• The applicant must be from a nation with diplomatic ties to Japan.
• A candidate’s health should be excellent.
• A candidate must have been born on April 2, 1985, or later.
• A candidate for a bachelor’s degree or an undergraduate degree must have completed 12 years of study.
• A applicant for a Master’s degree must hold a bachelor’s degree.
